Toddlers, Twos, Threes and Beyond

Terrible Twos are tough but also terrific for portraits: they're getting into everything, curious about the world and interested in being the centre of attention if they possibly can. Now's the time to capture a character unsullied, unjaded and terrifically true. You'll love looking back on this time with a portrait of all its beauty and none of it's trials.

Bring snacks and a drink bottle, fun dress-up ideas and toys and be prepared to let your child lead the way ... the results will be unique and quite simply wonderful.

Threes are fabulous: they want to help, to be involved, try anything once and are not as self-conscious as older children learn to be. This is your chance to get the portraits you've always wanted. Play about with styles you like (go wild) or focus on the moment. Take a portrait of your connection up close and personal. You'll want to make the most of this magic time!

At four to five years of age, young children make for vibrant photos full of fun and character. Young enough to still be cute and willing to have their photo taken; old enough to really show that personality that you've grown to know and love so well.

School years & Teens

When your children go to school everything changes - new routines, new friends and new ideas. Teachers become a big influence and classmates colour their world. You're more likely to have more than one child now and routines start to take a new shape. It's worth taking the time to spend a few hours with each child - but also an hour of 'me' time to start refreshed.

Makeover, Photographic Sitting, Viewing and Results

With this in mind, we've developed the Family Sitting with (optional) makeover for Mum: the first hour is dedicated to helping Mum look and feel like the wonderful woman she is - pampering her with make-up and hairstyling by some of the best in film and TV. Emerging refreshed and laughing at the looks of surprise and delight on the family's faces, this is a great way to begin your relaxed hour of fun with the photographer.

Your photoshoot is time to 'hang out' as a family without the distractions of modern life that stop us from really paying attention. This is more than a photoshoot - it's a chance to reconnect. And in the process, create portraits of that moment. You really will have fun making memories you'll want to keep.

You'll all enjoy looking through the images on the big screen in your Viewing (a few days after your Sitting) - you can really play around with the options, each pick your favourite and chuckle over some candid moments.

The results will stand the test of time - and, mounted well, will help to tell your story as you add to them over the years.
